Transforming the way you work

René Hagen

René Hagen is a seasoned operator whose direct approach to problems and opportunities is fact-based, agile, and hands-on. With the natural ability to identify win-win situations rapidly, coupled with knowing and understanding all aspects of the business, René consistently delivers the results needed for an organization to be successful. Being highly analytical, he can capture the dynamics of an organization and quickly gather and process all relevant data. His eye for detail and ability to deal with complexity allow him to turn things around using his signature no-nonsense style. René will disturb the status quo if necessary to achieve the urgent revolutionary change needed.

Working internationally for most of his career, he has maintained a global network of business partners and built unique skills. This resulted in him streamlining and optimizing businesses in global environments. Before Quattuor Group, René joined Quint Wellington Redwood (Quint) in 1998 to lead the international expansion, where he became CEO of the company's international arm. With his strong track record of increasing operating profit and driving change in performance via shifts in strategy, processes, and organizational culture, René led Quint to become a global organization. Once this arm of the company achieved globalization, he became COO of the entire Quint Wellington Redwood Group, a primarily Dutch company.

As COO and a major shareholder of the Group, he guided the company, ultimately unscathed through the economic crisis of 2008-2010, resulting in substantial growth in revenues and profitability. With this accomplishment, René took the reigns as CEO shortly after that, continually growing the company. René's ability to quickly identify his team members' strengths and weaknesses and his leadership qualities typically bring the best possible results in record-breaking times. Using these qualities, René helped transform the culture and improve operations, turning Quint into a prominent management consulting firm with offices in 14 countries. Additionally, as CEO, René saw the need to expand service offerings. This resulted in engineering the acquisition of several companies in multiple countries. René directed the integration of the new companies into the existing Quint organization. He served as CEO and a member of the Board of Directors up until he sold what became a $65M company in 2013.

Since the sale of Quint, René and other well-seasoned C-level executives formed the Quattuor Group, helping companies solve their operational inefficiencies. By combining the qualities mentioned above and using his broad and long-standing experience, René can bring out the best in organizations and their people. He achieves this quickly, enabling them to achieve results that most people involved would never have thought possible. His recent projects included interim CEO, company assessment, and internationalization planning.

René holds a degree in Business Informatics from Rotterdam University, the University of Applied Science in the Netherlands.
